Photograph Notes: The 6-span bridge is constructed from local red sandstone ashlar, replacing a ferry and a temporary wooden bridge and on the site of an ancient ford. It was completed in 1599 so just scrapes the title of 16th Century Bridge. One of the arches, on the Hereford side, was destroyed during the Civil War. A sundial was added in the 18th century. http://www.smr.herefordshire.gov.uk/hsmr/db.php?smr_no=903
