This vase is a high quality piece of authentic Native American, Navajo pottery. This piece of Navajo pottery is hand etched and painted with symbols of Native American culture to create this unique rustic piece.  It is signed by the artist Les W.

"Bears are believed to be spiritual guides and represent strength and self-knowledge. The Navajo also believe that bears have supernatural powers, including great healing powers. The bear is a symbol of deliberate action, introspection, soul searching, and insight. In addition, the bear is the guardian of the West."

An arrow symbolizes protection and defense.  If an arrow points left it means ward off evil. The “zigzag” shape, the lightning symbol embodies power and strength.

The other symbols presented on this piece is water and the feathers (28) which surround the mid section. A feather, knife wing, a symbol of courage, honor, wisdom and strength.

The result is a fabulous one of a kind treasure with the etched look that is so popular. Each piece is unique, no two are exactly alike. This piece of Indian art on pottery would be perfect for any southwest style, western decor or cabin. It would also make a great special gift. Actual piece is shown, measures approximately 4" tall, 5" wide.

Authentic Native American, Les. W, Tribe: Navajo

Note: Decorative clay pottery will not hold water.

The only defect I see is a droplet of white paint in the wrong place. There is a closeup picture of it.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me.  I have no idea what this is worth I am guessing from what I have seen on the internet.  If I am too high let me know if not make me an offer.

Thanks for looking.
