Item description:
Beautiful, extraordinary, rare sculpture in soft vitrified porcelain (also defined as casting ceramic) enamelled and decorated entirely by hand. Depicting a seated lady with a large skirt and two pigeons. Entitled "The kiss of the pigeons" and created by the famous sculptor and ceramist Otto Maraini for the equally famous Turin-based Lenci factory. Signed under the base, datable to around 1920.
Useful information for the evaluation of the object:
You will find in the last photos, some of his works that went up for auction, always consider that 25-30% of the auction house rights must be added to the price of the hammer, and also that most of the works you see in the photos are smaller than the sculpture presented here, which is indeed very large, as well as beautiful and also quite rare. Published in the Lenci general catalog edited by Alfonso Panzetta, as can be seen from the last attached photo.
Final thoughts on the subject:
The skirt with a black background decorated with numerous large roses with stems is beautiful, and the checkerboard decoration made with two blue lines and one red, in perfect deco style, is beautiful. Fabulous face and beautiful cap. For those who collect Lenci or ladies with bonnets and/or birds, this is an unmissable piece.
Information on artist and/or manufacturer:
We also have put, always in the last photo, some hints on the artist career for those who want to learn more.

OUR COMMERCIAL POLICY
My name is Gabriele, an art lover, since I was very young I started collecting paintings, porcelain, bronzes, glass, ceramics etc. and over time I gained vast experience and a very refined taste in recognizing beauty and then, little by little, I also transferred it to my son Nicolò. Now I have decided, with the help of my son, to sell my entire collection, created in over 35 years of research and selection of beauty, quality and art and then perhaps continue with a real buying and selling activity. We have chosen to sell online and therefore we have adapted to the prices of the online art market, always trying to offer extremely competitive prices compared to the competition. Very often our prices are lower than what we could achieve by taking the objects to auction houses, but selling at auction is an extremely long process and does not produce any customers for us, so we prefer to earn less, but aim to create a excellent clientele over time, earning more on the quantity than on a higher profit on the single piece, which we could obtain by selling it in auction houses.

SHIPPING WORLDWIDE - RETURN ALWAYS ACCEPTED
The cost of packaging is also calculated in the shipping costand everything has increased by 19% because both ebay and paypal also take fees on the shipping cost.

OUR SHIPMENTS:
.Our shipments cost a little more than the average, but they are all shipments with professional packaging. Double box with a lot of bubble wrap around the object and a lot of soft material in the large cavities on all sides between the two boxes. This means that the package is much larger and heavier and therefore the cost of shipping increases, not to mention all the work necessary to carry out a similar packaging and the cost of the various materials used.
