The 16" smallest size will fit a 3 month old baby while the biggest size will be good for a two year old. The nappy pin motif brings a smile to every one that sees it, such a traditional image. As a set this makes a beautiful outfit and would be a great gift for anew mum or something you could knit while awaiting the birth of your little one.  There is a small graph for the motif but this is easy to follow and despite the colour changes this is a fairly easy to make design.

This is a lovely vintage pattern reprint making use of fairisle techniques to produce the motif. I use any double knit wool for this pattern as the suggested wool is no longer available. This means it is essential to work a tension square before making your items to be sure the sizing works out well.

You will receive a scanned copy of the original pattern which forms part of my collection put together many years ago and I am only sharing it with buyers as a hobby which I hope you will enjoy. I have personally made most of the designs shown in my patterns, they were mainly made for my sons who are now well over 30 years old!

I print the patterns onto photo paper so they are pretty robust and place them in a plastic sleeve to protect them. The originals show signs of wear and tear which may be apparent on the one you receive, there may be a coffee cup ring or some notes, where possible I will have edited them to tidy up. It will always be possible to knit your garment with the wear and tear having no impact on your ability to do this.  You may be able to see crease lines where the originals have been folded in my knitting bag but I think this just adds to the charm.
