Condition:  the lantern is still in good condition, but the back side of each red glass plate has chips and small missing pieces, primarily on the corner and edges, but that doesn't show on the front.  The part that counts, the front of each glass plate doesn't have any noticeable chips, so the outside of the lantern looks good.
