Notes: Near Fine, 4to, 10" x 10." Black-and-white pictorial paper wrappers with staple binding. Wrap-around illustration of one of the artist's work on covers. Green lettering on front. No lettering on spine. Covers have slightly bumped tips, slight bending, light age toning, and a few small wrinkles, else clean and intact, binding tight. Pages have slightly bumped tips on fore-edge and light age toning, else pristine and intact. Replete with black-and-white illustrations. 38 pp. including illustrations. Published on the occasion of a traveling exhibition featuring the art of Sylvia Sleigh (1916-2010), a Welsh-American Realist painter. Sleigh was best-known for her feminist portraits that upended traditional Western conventions of depicting women in art. Acquired from the private library of Photorealist, Robert Bechtle and art historian, Whitney Chadwick. Heavy and oversized items may require additional shipping.
