This state map of West Virginia was salvaged from an antique 1899 edition of Appletons The Universal Cyclopedia. A friend gave me a set of these encyclopedias since the bindings were all destroyed and they were falling apart. I'm an artist and they thought I could use them. I saved as many maps and images as I could.
This map is in amazing shape with no stains, marks, writing, or stickers. The top edge has some minor fraying where it was cut from the book. It is printed on one sheet of paper with dimensions of 7 1/2" x 10 3/4" (the printed boarder of the map itself is 5 5/8" x 9 1/8").
