ANTIQUE PENCIL SKETCH ENGLISH TOWN/MARKET SQUARE MOUNTED
An antique pencil sketch thought to be a preparatory work prior to
committing to paint. The piece was deemed to be of sufficient expertise to
mount. The subject is of a typical market square scene of the early 1900 period
during which time the piece is thought to have been done.
It is in good condition for its years but the mount card is soiled with
some splashes of an identified substance to the reverse and there are some grubby
patches to the front. The work itself is very good and without soiling.
Displays well but requires remounting to look its best.
