Autochem Longlife Antifreeze & Summer coolant concentrate is a methanol-free formulation incorporating Organic Acid Technology (OAT). It is suitable for all engine types, providing all year round protection and performance in all driving conditions. Autochem antifreeze is blended from an antifreeze concentrate that conforms to BS6580 (2010) and contains anti-corrosion additives which can be left in the system as a coolant and inhibitor against rust.
Winter Protection: For general UK conditions, use a 33% v/v solution (1 part antifreeze to 2 parts water). For optimum protection down to -20°C, use a 50% v/v solution (1 part antifreeze to 1 part water).
Directions for use:
Drain and flush the cooling system with clean water. Check all hoses, clips and joints for leakage - tighten or replace where necessary. Refer to vehicle manufacturer's handbook for total volume of the cooling system. Remove radiator cap and pour 1.5 litres of clean water into the radiator system. Add antifreeze to a volume equal to 33% or 50% of the total coolant system capacity (depending on protection desired). Top up with clean water to recommended fill level. Run engine until it reaches normal operating temperature to remove any air locks. Switch off engine and allow to cool. Remove radiator cap and top up with water if necessary. Replace cap.
Note: If neat fluid is spilt on paintwork rinse off immediately with water. It is recommended to check antifreeze levels on a regular basis. If top up is necessary, use Autochem antifreeze mixed to the same solution as previously used.
When not in use, ensure product is stored in a secure, upright position. Not suitable for classic/vintage vehicles.
