Wild Olive Oil White Label is an extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) in a league of it’s own. This EVOO holds the world record for the highest polyphenol content according to the NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) measurement method developed by Dr. Prokopios Magiatis and his team at the University of Athens and the World Olive Center for Health. This exceptionally  EVOO contains mg/kg total polyphenols -only 250 mg/kg of certain polyphenols are required for the EU Health Claim for olive oil protecting blood lipids from oxidative stress.

This rare and unique oil is obtained solely from wild Spartan olive trees from an ancient forest in a remote land where wild aromatic plants and herbs such as, wild lavender, natural savory, wild mint, natural anemones, wild heathers, natural sedges, wild rosemaries, natural prickly pears, wild thyme, natural oregano, wild mint, wild beets, wild grapes, wild sedges, arbutus and more, grow.

As an incredibly high phenolic content olive oil it is intensely pungent with a bitter aftertaste, herby aroma and has a dark green colour.

As the untarnished ancient Spartan land has been twice burnt in past years, what seemed like a disaster was actually a miracle when within a few years the entire ecosystem regenerated and olive trees naturally re-emerged as unknown wild varieties. Known as ‘wild Spartan olive trees’ they are resistant to olive diseases and require no water or any human intervention. Organically grown wild olives are attentively handpicked during Autumn with their oil extracted immediately after harvesting. 15kg of olives are harvested to produce 1kg of this quality oil which, is then bottled in the company’s own premises and stored in ideal conditions to preserve it’s valuable nutrients.

Wild olives are coldly pressed below 27C (80F), under suitable conditions, carefully monitored. Within the hour they become olive oil. The procedure is fragile and specifically designed & built to preserve the beneficial nutrients. Many factors are observed simultaneously: Time, calibration of the equipment, temperature, air, sunlight, weather conditions etc, can affect the quality drastically. We notice everything consciously and perform minimal small changes to the olive paste.


The same applies to standardize. We are the only company in the world that puts on the label of each bottle the mg/Kg of Polyphenols, Omega 3, Omega 6, Omega 9 & Vitamin E. To achieve that we invented a new, pioneering, standardize process that keeps the nutrients unharmed. The “cold” bottling takes place at our unit, designed and built by us in order to protect the nutrients from air, light and minor heat. Each bottle is thoroughly supervised and inspected. 


A sample of the final product is always measured “on the spot” while a few others find their way to Universities and other certified analytical laboratories in the European Union and the USA.

 

The product is stored away from sunlight, heat, air, moisture, anything that can harm the nutrients.”

“We own a small laboratory to conduct chromatography analysis of our Olive Oil which measures an approximate of some of the Nutrients. Then we conduct an organoleptic analysis (colour, scent, taste, brightness, bitterness, pungency etc.). At this point we already know the quality levels of our product. 

 

We are in collaboration mainly with the University of AthensUniversity of Crete, and the University of Nicosia where using sophisticated equipment and methods the samples are measured precisely as far as concerns several nutrients. The same is performed at independent private certified laboratories in European Union and USA. We receive awards from Universities and International Olive Oil Competitions steadily.

 

We hold the “highest” Organic Claim in E.U. – “Naturally Organic” – meaning that we do not use any kind of fertilizer / pesticide / chemical, in any process we conduct, land management / pressing / bottling / distribution etc. In addition to that we are certified since 2004 as a “Fully Organic Olive Oil Producer” by “DIO” which is the relevant authority in Greece & TUV-NORD. “
