This card is a part of the strongly collected 176 black-bordered Topps 1962 set known as the "Men In Black". This set of standard-sized cards had a front horizontal design and two photos, a large, color close-up on the right and a small black & white inset photo on the left, with the player's name, team and position below the inset photo. The vertically designed card backs feature the card number, statistics and a cartoon quiz. The cards are sequenced alphabetically by team from Baltimore to Washington.
