RARE Vintage General Electric AM/FM radio P1840A
working condition - uses 4AA batteries (not included)
Photos tell the story - Great condition overall, but strap is broken and there is some rust on the negative battery terminals.
The positive side is better.
Some static when turning the volume knob then it stops.   Both knobs operate smoothly and the tuning needle works as it should.
Headphone jack works.
Not sure about the external power sitch.   I don't have an adaptor that fits it.
The antenna extends and retracts smoothly, though a bit stiff - could probably us light touch of machine oil or something but I will leave that to it's new owner.
The sound is pretty good for the vintage - point being, the speaker works and all the sound ranges are represented no clicking or popping.
Radio reception in my rural area isn't very good but this little guy pulled in the signals.

Please be sure to look at all the pictures carefully before buying. I try hard to take great pictures that accurately describe the items I am selling.

I am a retired teacher working from home and enjoy rehoming vintage and pre-loved items. Many (but not all) of the items I sell are purchased at thrift stores, garage sales/estate sales, etc.  Unless otherwise stated, they are used/pre-owned. Feel free to ask me any questions.

If there is an issue with your purchase, please contact me so I can make it right for you. Customer satisfaction is very important to me, as evidenced by my positive feedbacks (which I would appreciate if you are satisfied with your purchase and my prompt service).

I try to make sure all orders are sent out the same day I receive payment for the item or the following business day.

I add to my store regularly, so I hope that you will consider following me and checking out all of the cool treasures I find during my shopping excursions. Thank you so much! :D
