DIE KINGUINE

A very early work by Otmar Alt (b. 1940), German painter, sculptor, designer, and graphic artist, known for colorful abstract creations such as the linocut illustrations in this book. The text consists of ten full-page plates printed on heavy paper, plus an additional two decorating the covers; there is a brief text in German by Stefani Teichgraber.

This is #429 of an edition of only 500 copies, printed in Germany in 1968. The book is hand-numbered and signed by Alt in pencil on the last page.

An extremely rare collector's item, never to be found for this low price.

The flexible-covered book is complete with clear plastic jacket (second-to-last photo); it remains in very good condition. The jacket has some rubbing and other fairly minor signs of age and use, including a 1" tear along the seam at the top back corner. The  book itself has minor generaly handling to the covers, no major flaws; sound binding; the interior is in excellent shape.

Measures 8" X 9.75", 20 pages. Ships promptly & securely.
