It is part of the arsenal of traditional Tibetan medicine and its Mongolian branch, where it is used for diseases of the digestive system: dyspepsia, intestinal infections, gastritis, peptic ulcer, bronchopulmonary diseases, tuberculosis, pneumonia, bronchial asthma.  Similarly, it is used in Bulgarian folk medicine, in Germany.

  A number of sources list a wide range of infectious and inflammatory diseases in which L. is used: cystitis, pyelonephritis, arthritis, tonsillitis, gastroenterocolitis, hepatitis, cholecystitis, proctitis, hemorrhoids, pustular dermatitis and other dermatoses. In the twentieth century, it was introduced into the pharmacopoeia of Belgium for the treatment of "articular rheumatism" and was used by folk medicine for paralysis, "falling", hysteria, rabies, encephalitis and neuroinfections 

In Western European countries, it was used as a diuretic, anti-hemorrhoid. In homeopathy – for gout, rheumatism, skin diseases 

In Russia, the labaznik was popularly called – meadowsweet, honeydew, honeydew. The names probably come from the place of growth (damp, moist places) and the smell of flowers. The plant is a honey plant. A surrogate of tea. It is known that tawny tea was drunk on mowing by mowers – it relieved muscle pain, aches, improved sleep, quenched thirst well. Young shoots, leaves had food use.
