"We Learn To Play"

These prints along with this book were published by Encyclopedia Britannica and distributed to schools in the 1950s. There are four prints in total.

The cover page states:

"A Portfolio of Pictures

Suitable for framing, painted especially for Britannica Junior Homes by four outstanding US Illustrators of children’s books

‘Little Red Riding Hood’  by Rafaello Busoni

‘Dinner for Five’  by Dorothea Warren Fox

The book is entitled  "We Learn To Play" and contains various children's playground games and activities, many of which are out of fashion or forgotten.

The Prints are in new condition, still in their cardboard shipping sleeve.

The book is also in unused condition, but has a musty odor.

I acquired a stack of these portfolios along with a case of the books from a guy who rescued them from a closing school in Philadelphia. Let me know if you're interested in more than one!
