Art Deco style spelter ashtray, obviously made as a tourist piece for the French city of Toulon. Depicts a sailing rig, with two small images of Toulon at the bottom of the tray. Seems as though the piece hasn't been used for its original purpose, as there appears to be very little scorching or marking to any part of it, which might be explained by the impracticality of its small size? Just a nice decorative piece really. Only spoiler is the fact the original nut, holding the ship to the tray has been lost and replaced with a modern replacement. Although given that the nut is hidden from view, it doesn't really spoil the overall aesthetic of the item. As far I'm aware there is no damage, no cracks, splits or losses to the piece.
