Presenting an exceptional vintage Murano art glass bird figurine masterfully hand crafted by a talented Italian glass artist.
This wonderfully sculptural freestanding piece has been crafted in solid Alexandrite or Neodymium glass. The rich and radiant glass changes from a striking blue to rich purple tones in varying lighting conditions due to the addition of Neodymium. The dramatic change of colour is incredible in this example.
The glass has been expertly tooled into the sleekly stylised form of a duck. The elegantly curved neck is perfectly balanced with a pointed tail and applied glass beak while impressed eyes to opposing sides of the head detail the figure.
This piece looks sensational with light illuminating the alexandrite glass and radiating off the elegant curves and sleek flowing lines with a magical intensity.
SIZE: This impressive piece stands approx 155mms tall measures 70mms in length and 40mms in width.
WEIGHT: This figure weighs 250 grams unpackaged.
