The main function of this board: to suppress the instantaneous inrush current of the amplifier, due to the high power of the class A and high-power amplifier transformer, the load impedance is very low and the power supply filter capacitor capacity is very large, which leads to the instantaneous over-current of the amplifier, and it is very easy to damage the transformer/rectifier bridge and damage the filter capacitor.
When the power is just turned on, the electrolytic has a charging process, and the power supply is sent to the consumer only after 4 high current negative temperature coefficient resistors (NTC) (soft start function).
After about 2 seconds of electrolytic charging, the relay will short the NTC and it will be in normal working condition.
It also achieves a smooth rise of the load voltage to the mains, protects the transformer/rectifier bridge and the big water pond, thus effectively protecting the appliances to prolong their service life and preventing the air switch from jumping.
