Details: This auction is for the stunning highly collectible antique Art Deco large amber mat tulip vase, made by Barolac, in Czechoslovakia ca. 1930s. The gorgeous large heavy vase is made of amber mat glass, adorned with “en relief” tulips. The vase is unmarked as many pieces produced by Barolac, but the design by the artist Josef Inwald is well known. This particular vase (number 11282B) is shown in 1937 Catalog “Vase Moulure en Relief Boheme” by H. Markhdeinn, Paris.

Barolac glass was exclusively designed and produced for the English importer and retailer John Jenkins in 1930s. Barolac glass exquisite technique is similar to Lalique. Many of the pieces were unmarked.

 

The vase is as seen in the photos.

 

Measurements: The vase measures approx. 9" tall and 6.6" across the top. The weight is 1.978kg.

 

Condition: The antique Art Deco large amber mat tulip vase is in very good condition.
