This is a stunning original antique (late 19th century) milk glass lamp base globe with colorful paint on the outside surface including alternating blended pink to white background with large fuchsia and white peonies in the foreground of the front and back.
Condition is excellent. There are some small flakes in the glass around the top and bottom opening and a few worn spots in the paint (typical, considering age and use) but no major damage anywhere.
The globe measures 8 1/4" in diameter x 6" H and the bottom lip measures 2 7/16" in diameter (from outside edge to outside edge of the glass lip), and the opening in the bottom measures 2 1/8" in diameter. The top lip measures 6" in diameter (from outside edge to outside edge of the glass lip) and the top opening measures 5 1/2" in diameter.
