This GRENADE thumper head is mounted on a custom handle, made from a kiln dried white ash on my SOUTH BEND lathe. Super strong wood with nice grain......This hammer is exactly 1 lb 5 oz. total weight 

(says my digital scale :). 

Top to bottom 15.5 inches long. Excellent feel of the sweet spot on the handle.

It is polished so smooth that it looks like as if its melting...
