Photograph Notes: Birmingham City Transport, formerly Birmingham Corporation Tramways, used these Bundy clocks for timing purposes for their bus and tram services in Birmingham. The Friends of Kidderminster Town Station installed this clock near the station in 2001. The clock is still working. There are probably not many of these clocks still around, although there is one of a slightly different design at Walsall Arboretum, which is painted a dark blue. That was one of the colours of the BCT livery. The name Bundy is still used for modern timing devices. Behind the clock is a former coal merchant's office. It has been given a repaint. Formerly it was a faded blue. The Friends say they would like to complete this scene by installing a tram shelter. They don't actually need to look very far, as there are some by Kidderminster Town Hall. They were put there for the Kidderminster to Stourport-on-Severn tramway, which closed about 80 years ago. Unfortunately they are still in use as bus shelters!
