This sweater is 100% cashmere and made by Pringle of Scotland. It's navy blue with white diagonal stripes, a tan diamond and a tan and light blue raised stitch. Kind of looks like an "N" but may just be a design element. Very preppy! It has a loose fit turtleneck; somewhere in between cowl and turtle neck.

This could be anywhere from the 60s to 80s; it’s very hard to say since their labels have always been vintage-looking. Heritage brand Pringle of Scotland, purveyors of cashmere, have over 200 years of experience, making them one of the oldest luxury fashion brands. Still making sweaters today!

Scottish cashmere has aways been prized for its remarkable softness, warmth, light weight, and low-pill durability.

Intarsia is a knitting technique used to create patterns with multiple colors.  As with the woodworking technique of the same name, fields of different colors are inlaid.

·     Tight weave

·      Lightweight

·      Slouchy, loose fit

·      SUPER SOFT

·      Size 97 cm/38 inch, an estimated medium to large, see measurements below

·      This sweater is in great used condition, for its age or otherwise. EXCEPT for one hole in shoulder seam (see last photo). Someone badly mended it by hand, the hole is about .75" long. I don't think this is a hard repair, but you be the judge. Some very mild piling.
