Then the new digital radio interface DENSION DAB + U is just right for you! Because this is simply connected to the factory-installed USB port ¹ in the vehicle.

DENSION DAB + U in the application

The digital radio stations are displayed like MP3 files in the radio / navigation display, making it easy to use and have a wide range of compatibility. The channel search and setting options are also displayed as virtual MP3 files. Here, the control is easily done via the buttons of the radio / navigation system or, if available, also with the steering wheel remote control.

Incidentally, the digital radio standards DAB , DAB + and DMB-R are supported.

NEW: continue to use the optional Glovebox USB port

With the DENSION Glovebox EXT2CP2 (not included in delivery / optional under accessories) you can easily and conveniently use your USB port for storage media.

Simply flip the switch on the DENSION glovebox, the DAB + U interface is deactivated and the USB port on the glovebox is activated.

This allows you to play music from your USB stick or another USB storage device as usual. The functionality is thus not taken, as in the previous version (DBU1GEN).

DENSION DAB+U installation

Simply connect the DENSION DAB + U interface to the original USB port ¹ the vehicle using the enclosed USB cable. The power supply of the device itself takes place via the USB connection and does not have to be laid separately.

The DAB / AM / FM rod antenna ensures perfect digital and analog radio reception in your vehicle. The high-quality integrated amplifier allows you to increase the reception power by up to 10dB. It is universally suitable for all vehicles for mounting on the roof. Simply connect the antenna to the DENSION DAB + U, start the ignition and check the status LED² - done.

What is "ABSA"?
The DENSION DAB + U recognizes the buffering time that the playback device needs to be fully functional. Depending on the player, the buffer time may vary between 15-40 seconds. So it is not possible to change the radio stations (virtual MP3s) as fast as you are used to the radio stations in the FM band.

¹ The original USB port must be MP3 capable / MP3 files can play.
² A steady light of the status LED indicates that the power has been successfully supplied. If the LED is flashing, simply check the connections.
