G. Harris Shelton (1896 - 1976) Texas Artist Original Painting “Desert Sunset”. It is a wonderful small painting with terrific colors, and it is in very good condition. The frame has a bit of wear with age and as you can see from the photos it has a bit of separation in the corners, but it is sturdy. The back paper was basically disintegrating and crumbling so I removed it and underneath there is a title and it looks like an original price of $10 most likely pre-1950 . There is no visible date, but it is signed on the front in the lower left-hand corner. On the back of the paper there was a label from Coronado galleries in Elpaso and another label from a framing shop in Texas as well. I did remove the labels that were on the back of paper, and I will put them in an envelope and include them with the painting. It measures approximately 20 x 17” framed, and the viewable image size is approximately 12 x 9”. I do have one other larger painting by the artist that guy will be listing as well so please check out my other listings. I took photos of the painting under different, like to give a different perspective. Thanks for your interest.
