What is so special about our material Sari Silk?

Sari Silk is simply recycled silk that has been made using old discarded sarees which is the traditional daily wear outfit worn by most women in India. We take the sarees which would otherwise be discarded, remove each thread from those sarees and sort them by their dominant colour groups. Each colour group thus has thousands of shades of any single colour as it has been collected from various different sarees and as a result, the yarn has a delightful mix of colour which is unpredictable, vivid, natural and breathtakingly gorgeous with specks of contrasting colours due to mistakes which when woven into rugs appear like stars on a moonless night.
