An extremely good quality George III
figured mahogany break fronted dwarf linen press with ebony string inlay and
mahogany cross banding to the doors, reeded mouldings to the top edge and ebony
string inlay to the edge of the drawers with turned wooden knobs stood on a
plinth base.
The central interior has five pull out sliding trays made
from cedar and pine and drawers to either side are oak and pine lined and
retain their original working locks which are all in working order.
The linen press is attributed to Gillows of Lancaster and
London
