A great general purpose telephoto zoom, with a constant F4.5 aperture, multi coated optics, very well made with all metal.

The lens is in excellent used condition with clear and bright glass. No scratch, fungus or haze. Coating looks beautiful both ends, no noticeable marks. If you shine strong light through the lens you may see a couple tiny dusts. This is normal and has no effects on lens performance. The internal of lens is clean for a zoom lens of this age (from c. 1980's) - this is one of the cleanest manual zooms from this age we have ever seen. The lens aperture blades have no oil and are snappy. The one touch zoom/focus ring is smooth and firm, stay where you let go. No creeping. Filter threads are good. Lens is tested on camera, works 100%.

Cosmetically the lens is in EX+ to Mint- condition. The lens barrel looks very clean with just a couple small bright spots. No ding or dent. All lettering is crisp and bright. Please see photos for cosmetic conditions.

The lens is NOT serviced. We generally don't service zooms, as it takes 3x to 5x time/effort and brings 1/3 to 1/5 return, compared with primes. If the zoom's optics/mechanics is not in good shape it just goes to recycle bin. Most zooms from 40 years ago have very dirty internals. The zooms are more complex and require lubricant at much more places. The grease/oil crept to and evaporated/condensed onto internal glass surfaces. Plus zooms move glass elements in such a way that the internal spaces act like vacuum pumps and suck in a lot of dusts. There are occasionally few exceptions, which are usually lenses that have not got much use and stored in climate controlled environment.
