This is a new and fully functional "SoundSwitcher" board for the Kawai R-50 or R-50e. It includes all 100% of the sounds from all 3 Kawai Factory ROMs. Made by MTG (Music Technologies Group). Installation requires soldering 3 wires, but no drilling anything.
This ROM expander converts the R-50 and/or R-50e into a rare R-50iii using MTG's QuadROM technology via one 42-pin DIP EPROM. See the ad for the MTG R-100 4x ROM Switcher for more details.
Set-by-step instructions with photos are included (PDF on CD). Don't miss this chance to fit your R50 with all the sounds made for it. NOTE: The board uses non-destructive round machined pins. It does not use square pins that destroy the original sound ROM socket.
Please note that it's the blue board shown in the photos above. The chip is socketed and can be replaced if you want to make your own sound chip(s).

This kit includes the sound board shown above, wiring and a new OS chip. It does NOT include an LCD display. LCD kits may be available in the future.
