Three peaks known as Tre Cime di Lavaredo: Piccola, Grande, Ovest [in German, Drei Zinnen: Kleine, Große, Westliche], in the Sexten Dolomites, northeastern Italy. 

Original oil on canvas. Signed in the bottom right corner. In its original cream and gilt painted box frame, with canvas mount. Contemporary gallery label to verso of frame. Size: (frame) - approx. 97cm x 55cm [38¼in x 21½in] / picture - approx. 81.5cm x 41cm [31¼in x 16¼in].

A dramatic original oil on canvas of the Three Merlons in Italy, by German landscape painter Wolfgang Heinze. It is an impressive size and is still in its contemporary gallery frame. Heinz captures the setting sun masterfully against the sheer cliffs.
