A rare and wholly original Indian 18th century elephant foot collar, made of leather and brass and inlaid with 34 carnelian agate stones.

Original foot collar for an elephant. 18th century. Made of leather with ornate brass fittings, and with 34 inlaid carnalian agate stones. Size: approx. 60cm in length.

Good condition overall. Split along leather, with foot collar now in two parts, which has been temporarily and subtly repaired since the photos were taken and would benefit from the attention of a saddler.
