About my Comic Books and Collection: I have been collecting comic books for over 30 years and own over 10,000 books (my wife reminds me every day...:).
All of my comic books are adult owned and come from a pet-free, smoke-free, climate controlled home in the western suburbs of Chicago (Naperville, IL).
All of my comic books have been read once (if at all), bagged, boarded and stored upright in long BCW comic books storage boxes.
Why Am I Selling? We're moving and I don't have the space to take them all with me (remember that wife I mentioned?).
1. I am not a professional grader, dealer or seller. I am a collector. All grades or condition(s) are my best estimates as a collector unless otherwise stated, e.g., CGC graded books; 2. In the event of a conflict between the condition in the listing and the picture(s), the picture(s) controls; 3. No returns or refunds. Unfortunately, due to the bad eggs out there I’ve been burned (ungraded books subbed and returned with lesser quality copies; graded books with cracked slabs and swapped labels, etc.); 4. By bidding or purchasing, the bidder/ purchaser agrees to the terms and conditions stated herein, which, in the event of a conflict with eBay’s or Paypal’s terms and conditions, shall control; and 5. Shipping Insurance and Signature Upon Delivery are required.
Shipping and Handling: Local Pickup is preferred for large sets (see below). All books will be packed in bubble wrap and shipped securely (I’m a collector, too. I get it).
I combine shipping but won’t charge you for shipping costs you don’t need. Shipping insurance and signature upon delivery, however, is a cost we both need. Moreover, shipping supplies are not free. All costs combined (shipping, insurance, bubble-wrap, peanuts, etc.) are around $15/graded book depending on shipping location. Sometimes I come out $1 ahead; sometimes you do. In the end, it tends to even out.
Local Pickup Due to the time and cost expenditure associated with shipping supplies and proper packaging, I offer discounts for local pick-up on all items over $500. Please inquire.
Upset With a Purchase? If you are upset with a purchase please contact me and I will work with you to make it right (within reason). That said, I adhere to the terms of my listings.
Sales Tax: eBay is now collecting taxes on behalf of certain states according to the laws of those states. I have had quite a few questions about why I charge taxes and do not disclose this in the listing. Please understand that this has nothing to do with me. I do not dictate who pays taxes or how much the taxes are and I do not collect and distribute the tax money. eBay handles all tax collections. If you are unsure if you will need to pay taxes please check with eBay.
