This beautiful little mid-century modern English china pair is adorable!

The glossy baby-blue exteriors with gilded accents on the scalloped rims, feet, and handle make a lovely clean background to the simple abstract white leaf with gilded veins on two sides of each piece. The interiors are shiny white.

Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or scratches. And, surprisingly there's no wear to the sparkling gold trim. There is crazing that does not distract.

The little pitcher is 2 ½” tall and 3 1/2” wide handle to spout. The foot diameter is 1 5/8”. The open sugar bowl is 1 7/8” tall with a top opening diameter of 3 1/8” and foot 1 ¾”.

The backstamps in gold paint with crown logo read: “Made in England, Crown Devon”. There’s also an indented design number “A268”.

The Crown Devon line was crafted by the North Staffordshire pottery company S. Fielding & Co. This backstamp was in use from 1930s to 1950s on items mainly sold in the UK and Australia. The company was founded in 1879 and closed in 1982.

Thanks for looking.
