A scarce and luxurious two-volume set of these privately-published companion accounts of voyages around the Mediterranean in Englishman Ernest Beale's schooner 'The Angela', one in 1931 and the other in 1934.

Both volumes are illustrated with real silver gelatin photographs (26 in the first, and 25 in the second). Each starts with a colour map of the route, a photograph of The Angela in harbour, and a page giving details of the yacht and the names of crew members and passengers.

The Angela was 115.1 ft in length and was built by Camper & Nicholsons Ltd. in 1896. It had three state rooms, each with private bath, dining, drawing and smoke rooms. The passengers on the 1931 voyage are listed as William and Mrs. Edgecumbe Rendle and Reginald Evelyn Child Beale, and on the second voyage as Vivian Curtayne Stratton, Harold Child Beale and Reginald Evelyn Child Beale. There were 10 officers and crew on the first voyage and 8 on the second.
