The PE-505 from TEAC is a phono pre-amplifier. The PE-505 is a compact Pre that facilitates top quality audio from your turntable, with the ability to change the settings to appropriately handle many different vinyl records you may have in your collection.

The PE-505 supports balanced (MC) and unbalanced (MM/MC) inputs and is supplied in either a black or silver finishes.

The design ethos for the PE-505 was to produce a pre-amplifier that can accurately reproduce the original sound that the recording producers intended. The PE 505 amplifies the signal from the records, including even the faintest of audio signals, and process the signals without colouration, and then presents them faithfully in order to maintain a sound as close to the original sound as possible. 

For added authenticity, the PE-505’s phono stage is fitted with a knob for selecting the RIAA correction circuit, as well as the old EQ curves reportedly used on Deca and Columbia classic vinyl releases. The functionality allows you to effectively adjust the tone of the amplifier to best suit certain records you have. 

The PE 505 has a dual mono phono stage that supports turntable balanced (MC) and unbalanced (MM/MC) inputs. The PE 505 also allows for adjusting the load impedance (10, 22, 47, 100, 220, 470, 1kO) and capacity (0, 100, 220, 330pF) to match your cartridge, and a mono output function.

We ship all our orders from depot in the heart of Birmingham.
We provide FREE next day delivery on all of our UK orders, so long as you complete your order before 2pm (Monday - Thursday, Excluding Bank holidays).  Orders placed on a Friday morning will be delivered on the Monday. Orders placed after 2pm Friday will be dispatched on the following Monday.

If you need an update on your order progress, please feel free to contact us directly.

  • For our UK orders we use DPD Couriers (Next Day Delivery) who provide a personal tracking numbers with a one-hour delivery slot on the day of delivery. For smaller UK orders we use Royal Mail (1st Class).
  • For our international orders we employ eBays Global Shipping Programme (GSP). Which is highly recommended for its costs and efficiency. All the international orders are sent to a GSP depot here in the UK, before onward international shipping. You will get emails updating you on the progress of your order throughout the delivery process

We do not allow local pick-up for eBay orders, but if this is necessary please contact us prior to making your purchase and we can make arrangements for you.

For combined shipping you will need to add the items to your basket before paying for them, and then we will send them out together. For international orders eBay GSP calculates the shipping cost, which normally charges extra for additional items based on weight.

For Returns:

  • The returns process must be started within 30 days of your initial order.
  • We ask all items that are returned to us be wrapped in outer material (brown paper, plastic, clear wrap, black wrap or anything similar) complete with their original packaging.
  • Any items that are damaged or have parts and accessories missing will be subject to a re-stocking fee or in some cases even rejected.
  • Please ensure you contact us before returning the item to obtain a returns reference.
  • You must also ensure you include your name, eBay ID, and the reason for the return; it will speed up the refund process.
