Hand forged bowie knife with antler handle and handmade leather scabbard

The blade is 7 ½ inches long and 1 ¾ inches wide. The handle is about 8 inches long, so the total lenghth of this extraordinarily beautiful knife is just over 15 inches. The scabbard is 8 ½ inches long, 3 inches wide, and three quarters ( ¾ ) inch thick.

These were hand forged and hand made around 2008 by a member of the Blacksmith’s Guilds of Central Maryland, which meets monthly at the Carrol County Farm Museum, in Westminster, Maryland. BGCM is a member guild of ABANA, the Artist Blacksmiths Association of North America.

This would be outstanding, authentic hand-made accessory for the fur trade or frontiersman re-enactor headed to a Rendezvous or re-enactment. Compelling period look because it is entirely hand forged and hand made.
