Very Good to Good condition. On the whole a pleasing example of this rare work. Binding solid and gilt lettering is still bright. Uniform age-toning to pages throughout. Generally light scattered foxing, a little heavier in places. Rear of one folding table age-toned. Binding a little rubbed at head and foot of spine and corners. A couple of scratches to rear cover. A rare example of the first edition of this monograph by Nathan Clifford Ricker. We cannot locate any institutional holdings of the first edition, and there appear to be none for sale online, so a true rarity in that sense.
