Here is an EXTRA LARGE lovely glossy ceramic serving bowl divided into two unusual triangle-shaped sections. This is a very hard-to-find serving piece. The “Tiger Iris” pattern by Winfield has a white background with a hand-painted yellow flower and olive-green leaves in the center of each section. The bowl’s rims have the same olive-green trim.

The excellent condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or crazing. This double-strength oven-proof Winfield China was hand-crafted to be chip resistant. There are no utensil marks, only a couple of glaze pits on the rim and an underglaze crumb on one section bottom.

The oval serving bowl measures 16 3/8” long and 10 ½” at the widest points of each section. The sides are 2 1/2” tall. It weighs 4 pounds – definitely a two-hander.

The unglazed bottom backstamp in blue reads “Winfield China, California”.

The Tiger Iris pattern of the Winfield True Vitrified Porcelain dinnerware line was manufactured by American Ceramic Products of Santa Monica, California in the 1950s to early 60s. The dinnerware production plant was closed in 1967.
