Beautiful Irish Provincial Solid Silver Teaspoon

Hallmarked ‘Sterling’ and dates between 1807 and 1821


In lovely condition. No dents or splits and bowl has a nice shape. The edge of the bowl is slightly worn on one side and feels slight roughy when you run a finger along the edge


The handle has lovely bright cut decoration leading to the engraved Dublin Star which is all quite worn with age and cleaning. The cartouche was once monogrammed but it has been completely rubbed


It is approx 14cm long and weighs approx 11.2g



Jane Williams was the daughter of the prominent Cork Silversmith Carden Terry. She married her father's former apprentice and business partner, John Williams in 1791. John Williams died in 1806 and shortly after in 1807 she took over her husband's position and the firm became Carden Terry and Jane Williams.
