Description

The Casebook of Lord Ermeloy II
The setting is England, 10 years after the Fourth Holy Grail War in Fuyuki City, Japan.
Weaver Velvet, one of the participants in the Fourth Holy Grail War, has grown up a great deal both as a person and as a magician, and he has bought up his former teacher, the Ermeloi School, who was killed in the same Holy Grail War, to become an instructor at the Clock Tower, a part of the Magic Society. At the request of Lainez Hermeroy Archisorte, the next head of the Hermeroi School, he was entrusted with the position of head of the Hermeroi School and came to be known as Lord Hermeroy II.
Lainez, who had become his sister-in-law, often came to Lord Hermeroy II for "troublesome consultations involving magic. With the help of his inner disciple Gray, the students of the Ermeloy School, and other magicians he had met, he solved the mysterious cases that arose.
Eventually, behind the series of incidents, a plan involving Iskandar, a heroic spirit who once fought the Fourth Holy Grail War with Ermeloi II, comes to light.

Gray
She is an inner apprentice of King Ermeloy II and is about 15 years old. Her first name is "I" and her birthday is June 17. Although she is not a magician, she is learning the knowledge of magic under him. Because he is a tomb guard with outstanding combat skills, especially in avenging spirit combat, he is often engaged in escorting others, including Ermeloy II.
He comes from a remote, closed and peculiar village, and is aware of his lack of education, and is not good at remembering long stories, crowded environments, and modern civilization.
He is a member of the family of the tomb guard of the cemetery where King Arthur is said to be buried, and he has an unusually strong sensitivity to spirits, but he is not very fond of ghosts. She does not like to reveal her face, and under the direction of her mentor, she always wears a deep hood to hide her face. This is because she is a distant descendant of King Arthur and her appearance closely resembles that of Saber Altria in the Fourth Holy Grail War. Gray's family has been adjusting and researching for generations to recreate King Arthur as the wielder of the Holy Lance, and has been remodeling the human body, with Gray being the only successful example.
He began to change his face and whole body about 10 years before the story begins, and he lived in fear and discomfort because he was becoming someone other than himself and because the people around him at the time began to rejoice in this and express reverence toward him. Therefore, although he does not dislike his own face, he hides it or keeps it away from mirrors because he does not want people to recognize it as his own. Because of this history, he is glad that his teacher, who had encountered Altria during the Holy Grail War, is not happy with his current face.
He met her when Ermeloy II visited the cemetery to prepare for the Fifth Holy Grail War, and became her apprentice. As an inner apprentice, she came to have deep trust in Ermeloy II, and after learning of his involvement in the Fourth Holy Grail War, she came to feel strongly that his wishes would be fulfilled, and she became proud to fight for him.
During the final battle of "case.Crown Resolution," it is revealed that Saber Altria was affected by the re-summoning of Saber Altria to the Holy Grail War that had begun in the Far East, and that he became closer to her and stopped aging physically as of "The Adventures of Lord Elmeroi II."
