Lovely tribal ring from Bajaur, Pakistan, specifically, near Dir. This region has a vast and long history, including a mix of religions and cultures. The road from Dir runs to Chitral, the land of the animistic Kalash. While I cannot say this ring is Kalash, the flower shape is one that I have seen on Kalashi items, specifically brass ornaments/fibula used on women's veils. The ring is made of a silver alloy, most like 85 - 90% silver (less than sterling). In the center is a jade cabochon, about .5" wide. Size 7.5 US, it does not adjust. About 1.6" wide.

There is surface wear, oxidation, patina, and an aged appearance. The band is not perfectly round.

Different monitors and phone apps show colors differently. I do my best to accurately document color using both photos and written descriptions.
