Zeolite is a naturally occurring mineral of volcanic origin formed millions of years ago when lava and ash fell into the sea. Due to its open molecular structure and naturally occurring negative charge, clinoptilolite zeolite acts as a cage, absorbing and trapping positively charged particles such as heavy metals and other toxins in it's structure. The toxins and then discharged through the bodies natural process.
