Enesco Trail of Painted Ponies Wild Blue Remembering 9/11 Ornament 2.6 Inch
The Trail of Painted Ponies celebrates the magic of the horse as an artistic canvas, the rich culture of America, and the unique talents of independent artists. The artists behind this exquisite collection come from all different backgrounds, and the inspirational stories behind each design are as heartfelt as they are beautiful. There have been a number of powerful tributes to the tragedy of 9/11, among them the commemorative public art installation known as the Tribute of Lights: a pair of giant beams of light, installed at Ground Zero, that mimicked the position and shape of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center as they illuminated the night sky over Manhattan. With this image in mind, I conceived of a Painted Pony that utilized the same form that The Trail created for a previous tribute to 9/11 titled "Unconquered," which posed a white stallion triumphantly atop rubble intended to represent the collapsed Twin Towers, with an American flag behind it. But instead of a white horse, this piece would feature a faceted blue horse. Blue because the lights in the Tribute of Lights were blue. Faceted to represent the 43,600 windows that were part of the Twin Towers, as well as the venues on the top floors of the North Tower which were called Windows on the World. The title - "Wild Blue" - borrows the name of a restaurant in the North Tower that was destroyed.

Shipping
Orders will be shipped out within four business days of purchase, Monday through Friday with UPS ground shipping service. Our office is closed on the weekends and most US National Holidays.
Estimated delivery date is given by UPS or eBay. UPS Ground shipments typically take anywhere from 1-5 business days to arrive, but could take longer depending on your location, weather conditions, or other unforeseen issues during the delivery. We require a street or physical shipping address - we currently cannot ship to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We only ship internationally using the EBAY GLOBAL SHIPPING PROGRAM (all available countries are noted in our product listings). Alaska/Hawaii and US Protectorates are excluded.
We cannot change shipping addresses from our end. If you need to make a change to the address on your order, please cancel the order within one hour of the purchase from your 'order history page' and place a new order with the corrected information.

Returns
Changed your mind? If you aren't delighted with your purchase, you can return a product within 30 days and we will happily refund the purchase price.
To initiate a return, find the item in 'My eBay' under 'Purchase History' and select 'Return this Item' from the 'More Actions' drop-down menu and simply follow the prompts.
Since we do not charge any restocking fees, items must be returned in the exact condition in which they were received with all the packaging to qualify for a full refund.
