Lou Dials - Almost the first black player in Major League Baseball, Lou was an outstanding 1st Baseman and outfielder who was the 1931 Batting Champion. He played for several teams, including the Chicago American Giants, Cleveland Giants, Homestead Grays and New York Black Yankees before playing in the California League at age 46 - After his playing days were over, he became a scout for the Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles |
