Description: This attractive original old antique print / plate originates from: 'Naturgeschichte des Thier-, Pflanzen- & Mineralreichs in colorirten Bildern nebsterläuterndem Text.', with introductions by G.H. von Schubert, published in Esslingen, Germany by J.F. Schreiber, c. 1878. These plates were intended for 'Anschauungsunterricht für die Jugend in Schulen und Familien.' (translation: Visual learning for youth in schools and families.)
Artists and Engravers: Gotthilf Heinrich von Schubert (1780-1860) was a German physician and naturalist.

Subject: Plate I: 'Die Knochen.' (The bones, skeleton, skull.)
Condition: Excellent. General age related toning and occasional light staining from handling as visible on image. Paper in general more browned towards paper edge as common. Original middle fold which is occasionally a bit separated at top and bottom and backed with paper or acid free tape. Some remains of symbolic small taping with notes from educational, scientific or library use, mostly on back.
