Description: This print originates from the 1698 Dutch edition of William Sewel's translation of William Dampier's travelogue: 'Nieuwe Reystogt rondom de Werreld' (A New Voyage Round the World), published in the Hague by Abraham de Hondt.

Subject: Page no.177: Shows one of the ships on its way to Kolyma / Colima in present day Mexico. A large sailing ship, anchored just off the coastline. A man is busy trimming the sails while a sloop with several figures rows toward shore.
Condition: Very good, given age. Small paper damage in the left margin (not nearly affecting image). A faint stain in the bottom left corner of the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
