White Mansions A Tale From The American Civil War 1861-1865 Vinyl record, cover and book are in very good condition

White Mansions is the story of the American Civil War 1861-1865 as told through the reflected experiences of the four characters whose combined words tell the South's side of the War Experience. The Characters: Matthew J. Fuller is the 23 y/o son of a wealthy GA cotton planter and typical of the young aristocracy of the South. Polly Ann Stafford is Matthew's beautiful southern sweetheart who lived an opulent plantation life as the daughter of a local landowner and diplomat. Caleb Stone epitomises "white trash", a class of Southern whites who have no profession, land or property. He finds work wherever he can as an overseer keeping order among the Negro field hands and joins the war to preserve his only heritage, his superiority over the blacks. The Drifter acts as the narrator of this story. Descended from good Southern stock, not involved in the war and views both sides with gentle strength and worldly wisdom.
