SILVER PLATED

HALF REEDED TEAPOT

c1900

An antique silver plated (EPBM) teapot with ebonised handle and knop and a half reeded body and base to spout as shown in the images.

Estimated to have been made around the 1900 cusp it has retained a super gleam factor but there are a few small issues but no significantly large areas of plate wear. There is a burst blister just above where the spout meets the body. Apart from some slight unobtrusive dimpling and some small indents/pressure marks to one side signs of age and service are otherwise minimal. The hinged lid is good and to the inner there is just expected light staining but it is without build up of tannin.

Displays well.
