DESCRIPTION

This Deep-drop fishing rod is for serious fisherman, designed to last in extreme conditions with heavy duty SS316 Marine Grade, most others are 304 stainless.

BMA custom blank is built to have some flex in the top but heavy to x-heavy with triple layered composite design for the best sensitivity, strength and durability.

ALPs guides incorporate the 'Interlock' frame design including a deep pressed ring, protected by a roll formed frame and adhered with proprietary bonding agent for outstanding ring adhesion and physical protection.

ALPs Swivel Roller Tip boasts a one piece CNC machined Aluminium frame that is finished with corrosion resistant anodised finish that is over 6 marine grade aluminium. The Axle pins and rollers are SS316 marine grade stainless steel. A very low friction design that will ensure your fishing line lasts longer and you don’t loose those fish at the bottom of the ocean.

ALPs Unibutts build with precision CNC machined marine grade aluminium with super hard anodising for durability. The new pinning system pins the gimbal and the fixed hood for precise alignment and eliminates the hood and gimbal spinning loose. While modern knurled hex nuts create for easier gripping and tightening of hoods for unmatched reliability.

The detailed craftsmanship is elegant and precise with under binding and double over binding to ensure durability and strength throughout the blank. Its a great rod for both tournament and recreational anglers who prefer a more versatile rod that can take on heavy electric reels and will stand the test of time.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Why use roller rod guides?
Answer: Roller guides are used to reduce line friction. Line friction heats up the line and damages the line which in turn causes the line to break under stress. Fishing in deep water or for big fish which take a lot of line are best suited for roller guides as it will save you having to re-spool reels due to damaged line. Roller guides also allow for easier and faster retrieval when the fight is on and you are trying to gain line even when the fish is pulling hard.
Do the rollers work with braided line?
Answer: Yes these guides have been specifically selected to work with braided line. Some cheaper guides have large gaps in between the roller and the guides especially the tip which braided lines can get caught in. Our guides and especially our tips have just enough space for the rollers to move freely.
What reels can i use with these rods?
Answer: Overhead/ Conventional reels are required. Any 50lb overhead reel be it Shimano, Penn Okuma etc... and most 30lb or 80lb reels will fit these butts however if you're not sure because you have an old or unique reel please contact us with the reel seat measurements.
Are these rods for Trolling only?
Answer: These rods are great for trolling or deep water bottom fishing.
Are these rod made to IGFA standard?
Answer:Yes these rods meet IGFA requirements.

RETURNS

You must return items in their original packaging and in the same condition as when you received them.
The original postage costs to you will be deducted from the refund amount.
