World War 1 US Calvary Saddle Bags Marked 1917 Long Stamped 101st Calvary.

*PLEASE CAREFULLY INSPECT PHOTOS FOR INFORMATION ON CONDITION PRIOR TO PURCHASE*

Up for sale is an extraordinary piece of militaria. These are 1917 Long manufactured Leather Saddle Bags, stamped “101. CAV.”, “ SD 8.”, “D 14”. We believe this attributes these saddle bags to the US 101st Calvary, which operated in Texas during WW1, likely taking part in the Mexican Border War against Pancho Villa. These bags were sourced from Texas as well, to support this provenance.
